12news.com reports that wine increases melanoma risk in adults. There’s strong evidence that shows this drink as a strong factor in developing this type of condition.
The research team from Brown followed 200,000 in a span of 18 years. The results indicated that each drink per day raises the risk of melanoma by 13 percent.

The study was released in a journal of the American Association For Cancer Research. They investigated the habits of the participants and showed that while this drink affects cancer risk, red wine, beer and liquor did not affect the risk.
Eunyoung Cho, an associate professor of dermatology and epidemiology at Brown, says that those who drink should weigh in the advantages and disadvantages of alcohol consumption especially if it’s related to cancer.

Daily Mail reports that every year, around 2,500 people die from malignant melanomain the UK. The new study says that it raises the chances of rare melanomas for up to 73 percent.
The findings show this drink can eventually lead to cancerous lesions in the body in areas less exposed to the sun.
