Tea Made from Coffee Waste

There are two kinds of people in the world – those who love coffees, and those who love teas.

If you both love them, it can be confusing which one to pick, especially because you can only have so much of your daily dose of caffeine until you’re all irritated and restless. As you know, caffeine can be harmless and/or harmful, so it’s best to consume in moderation.

But what if I tell you that it’s possible to have these two in one drink? That’s right. There’s a newly-invented tea made from coffee waste, called cascara. It’s made from a tropical, berry fruit that’s actually coffee. Read more in this report by Murray Carpenter on NPR:

Will this tea made from coffee waste the next hit in Starbucks? We’d have to find out!

Again, although it’s very similar to teas, it’s a 100 percent coffee, so it’s a great drink to level up your cup of Joe. After all, it has been found to increase lifespan by boosting heart health, as well as reducing risk of diseases.

So instead of drinking fizzy drinks, which, by the way, causes 184,000 deaths each year, why not try a cup of cascara?
