7-Day Healthy Meal Plan

I love reading comments on my meal plans like this one from last week “I am down 5lb since starting your plans the other week.” If you’re using them and have success stories, leave a comment, it will make my day! With summer now in full swing and the temperatures rising, I love to relax in the evening at home with a cool and fruity summer “adult” beverage. Check out my Boozy Watermelon Lime Granita, Citrus Margarita Spritzer, Basil-Cucumber Gin Cooler and don’t forget about an alcohol free Nojito!

Gnocchi with Grilled Chicken in a creamy, light roasted red pepper sauce, baby spinach, and Pecorino Romano will make people think you’re a gourmet cook!

This gnocchi recipe uses DeLallo’s Gnocchi Kit to make some of the easiest homemade gnocchi – just add water. The results are light and airy with that signature savory potato flavor. It’s seriously the best gnocchi next to ordering from your favorite restaurant or making it completely from scratch. For more delicious recipes that use DeLallo pasta, try Instant Pot Spaghetti and Turkey Meatballs and Spaghetti Carbonara.

Matcha Lemonade (Green Tea Arnold Palmer)

This refreshing and simple matcha lemonade is the perfect, not-too-sweet, summer drink! You can whip up this green tea Arnold Palmer in minutes without turning on the stove or using special equipment!

A clear glass filled with bright green matcha lemonade. A red banner states that it is refined sugar-free and honey sweetened.

Another Iced Matcha Drink!

As regular Nomsters know, I’m a big fan of drinking and cooking with matcha, a finely ground powder of specially grown green tea leaves. Although matcha is normally served hot, simply whisked with 175°F water, I prefer the ease of making a cold matcha drink—like Cold Matcha Latte or Cold Brew Matcha—in the hot summer months.

Recently, I was craving a matcha Arnold Palmer and realized that I could make one easily by doctoring my Cold Brew Matcha recipe!

A Green Tea Arnold Palmer!

A traditional Arnold Palmer drink is a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage made with three parts unsweetened tea combined with one part lemonade. However, it’s not a quick drink if you don’t already have some brewed tea and lemonade in the fridge.

When I started making Cold Brew Matcha, I learned that you can make a cup of green tea by simply shaking matcha vigorously with cold water. By adding freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey, you can transform it into a mildly sweet Matcha Lemonade in no time!

What Matcha Should You Use?

My favorite brand and type of matcha for this type of recipe—where you mix matcha with other ingredients besides water—is this one. You don’t need to break the bank and buy the most expensive matcha available, but find one that is bright green and tastes good to you.

Three Ways to Make It!

There are a few simple ways to make this refreshing matcha lemonade. You can use an inexpensive milk frother or small hand whisk to whip it up with minimal effort. However, the easiest method is to dump all the ingredients in a mason jar and shake like mad! All three methods work great and cleanup is a breeze.

Time to make a Matcha Lemonade a.k.a. Green Tea Arnold Palmer!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon matcha (I like this one.)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or more to taste
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Ice cubes

Equipment:

  • All of my recommended kitchen tools are listed here. The inexpensive milk frother I like is this one.

There are three ways to make this refreshing drink!

Using A Small Hand Whisk:

Combine the matcha and lemon juice in a measuring cup…

…and whisk well until the matcha is in a uniform suspension.

Adding a spoonful of honey to a liquid measuring cup with a small hand whisk inside.

Once the honey is incorporated, mix in the cold water.

Pour over ice and enjoy!

Using A Milk Frother:

Add the matcha, lemon juice, honey, and water to a liquid measuring cup and use a milk frother to blitz everything into an emerald green liquid.

Using A Mason Jar:

Measure all the ingredients and add them into a pint-sized mason jar. Screw on the lid tightly and shake like mad until the matcha is evenly dispersed!

Whichever method you choose will result in an icy delight!

A free 7-day, flexible weight loss meal plan including breakfast, lunch and dinner and a shopping list. All recipes include calories and updated WW Smart Points.

7-Day Healthy Meal Plan

This week I thought a simple plan would be great for the week after a holiday. You will see an emphasis on leftovers and meal prep focusing on summer salads. If I don’t have to be stuck in the kitchen every night during the summer I am a happy girl! Use that extra time to enjoy your family or take a little “you time”!
